This striking Go board is made out of solid bamboo. It's a very elegant way to play Go, combining the strength and beauty of bamboo - a grass species with the tensile strength of iron - with the timeless game of Go, a game so complicated that it's been calculated there are more possible Go games than there are protons in the universe. This board is made of solid strips of bamboo, pressed together one layer at a time. On the underside of this Chinese standard size 19x19 board is a 13x13 quick game board.

Wonderful board! This is first time using a bamboo board and I like it a whole lot better than the shin-kaya boards. Its very durable and I know it will last me many years to come. I can live my bowls with the stones in them on the board and not worry about there being a ring like shape as in some other woods like beechwood etc...Great board at a remarkable price.

This board comes in an excellent packaging and like this it is an excellent board to play go; it´s well finished and processed and is worth the money You pay for. The board shows a professional outfit without caption of the grid. As an idea it could be helpful (for non professional use and for explanation and notation) to create two transparent selfadhesive stripes on which is written the grids description (A-M/T and 1-13/19). So one, who dont need it, must not mount it - and the others can remount it for professional outfit of use. A realization of this idea couldn´t be very expensive and I´ll do it for myself.

This bamboo board is a great alternative to kaya or shin kaya. This board is priced more reasonably than the shin kaya and has a harder playing surface. The whole board feels very smooth. The picture makes the sides seem rough-looking but they are actually quite smooth. Be careful on the corners though. They are scratchy.
