I purchased this board to learn the game, along with one of YMI's Go sets (1.2" Shin Kaya--gorgeous), and it is a beautiful beginner board for those new to the game. As it doesn't come with stones, I would recommend perhaps purchasing one of their sets too (with stones and bowls included)--that way, once you desired the full experience of Go, you would have a 19x19 board at the ready. A great purchase and an awesome company!
