I really like the brushed finish of the board. This prevents the surface from appearing scratched like some other sets I've had. Not crazy about the silover and gold coloring, but that is a minor issue. The pieces have a nice appearance and the magnets are strong. the pieces also have a felt bottom which prevents scratching: a very nice touch. The board also has the algebraic notation on the sides. Its a perfect size for a travel set. I really enjoy using this set for analysis, but its also great to play a game on. For the price, tough to beat.
