Honinbo Shusaku: Complete Collection

This is the most complete collection of the games played by Honinbo Shusaku, regarded as one of the greatest Go player of the golden era of Go in the mid-19th century. ''Invincible Shusaku'' is known for playing 19 successive annual Castle Games undefeated beginning in 1849. This volume includes all his 471 recorded game records including his last unfinished game.

The game records are easy to follow and the Chinese text is minimal and not necessary for enjoying this book. We have included a translation sheet for key Go terms so that you can follow along without any prior knowledge of Chinese.
