The order arrived on time and without defects.
The stones are totally uniform, no nicks or chips, and lightweight compared to slate/shell or yunzi. But, perfect for club games!
The carrying case has a piece of material sewn inside to prevent the wooden bowls from rubbing and making a ring where they touch. I found this to be thoughtful. The case will only protect the bowls from rubbing, and facilitate transport but the material is not thick enough to protect against dropping or hard impacts. I definitely was not expecting a heavy-duty case but I'm sharing in case you expect as much.
The bowls exceeded my expectations, however! In the picture online the bowls appear black - almost plastic looking. But the bowls I received were lighter and more red. The grain of the wood is very prominent and the bowls are smooth, without knots, chips, splits, or seams.
