I purchased Yellow Mountain wooden Shogi pieces for a shogiban I had made. The maple pieces very nicely compliment the board.

Nice quality wood pieces. YMI should consider a thin cardboard board with this set. A paper board brings down the quality of the set a bit, but it is still a good set for the money.
