Beautiful case, beautiful art on the tiles. Lose a star bc the multi-colored plastic counters look cheaper than in the product photos and don’t match the set. And bc the plastic shrink wrapped packaging around each set of tiles stuck to some tiles and i cant get it off
The whole set up is nice.
My complaint is that 2 tiles are defective and I have asked for replacement tiles - unclear if/when these will be sent. Defective 4 Bamboo and 2 Dot - one has an imprint on the top side and the other one has a light red mark on the top side. I could give a better review if I had confirmation of getting replacement tiles or if I'd receive ed them already.

I received this Mahjong set as a gift, and it is by far one of the most beautiful Mahjong sets I have seen. It is a pleasure to play using these pieces, and the case is a wonderful way to store everything. My only negative is that the handle is a bit rough on my fingers due to the heft of the case, but that is a minor quibble. I love the traditional symbols on the tiles as opposed to the many modern sets with an unusual theme. It is such a wonderful throwback to the classic sets that I saw my grandmother and her friend play with, and I will treasure this for years to come.

I belong to a Mah Jongg group at my church. Everyone in the group has a set, but they always want to play with mine. They all compliment it on the beauty of the box and wooden racks, but most of all, the beautiful ivory-like tiles with traditional markings. I love this Mah Jongg set and am very proud of it. It is definitely worth every penny of the cost.
