Needed a green tile set but wasn't sure about the color. Came up with avocado.
I have used several kinds of Mahjong tiles and kits over the last few years and, I must say, this is one of the highest quality sets I have seen! The beautiful wooden racks with magnetic pushers are brilliant and the tiles have a lovely weight and feel. Everything fits perfectly in the carrying case plus there’s room for any other bits and bobs you want to bring with you. I am so pleased with this set and I highly recommend it!
as the blue ones! The glass-like finish, feel, and sound that the tiles make when being washed/shuffled—absolutely unmatched! The wood racks and pushers, though beautiful and *very* well made, were not for me; gave them to a friend and replaced them with a set of YMI multi-color racks and pushers that I was lucky enough to get my hands on.
Thankful that the Santorini tiles don't come in a third color as I'd want it as well!
I was told about this site by a friend who reintroduced my wife and I to mahjong after years of forgetfulness -- we'd lost track of how much fun this game is and where we could buy a really nice set, and this was just the place. These sets are not the cheapest but they are complete and the quality is excellent; all you might want extra is a game mat for your table. I chose this Verdant Santorini design but there are so many lovely patterns to select from, the decision was hard. Shipment was very fast, no charge for shipping, and no hidden tariff charges -- I'm happy to promote this business as an alternative to the big boys. Mahjong seems to be enjoying a renaissance of interest. Plus: lots of other games and game items here to consider!
