I love my mah jongg playing cards! The mah jongg rack holds 13 c ards, which is what I'm used to from other games like rummy and bridge. So it is easy to practice games using cards rather than get out the tiles and racks.
Currently I'm using the cards to learn the NMJL 2026 card. I read one line of the card then find different variations of the line using the cards. Using cards, I can take them anywhere and practice without the fuss of bringing tiles.

AND I can introduce the cards to the kids by playing a rummy-like variation of the game. They aren't up to playing against the card, but I can teach them the suits, melds and sequences to get them ready for the American game.

I’m learning Mah Jongg. I appreciate the ease of pulling out a deck of cards to play. A friend loaned me her deck. I had to purchase my own. I am thoroughly enjoying them. The cards help me to explore the different hands while learning.

The 178 card set of Mahjong playing cards will be extremely useful when traveling. Nobody wants to bring a heavy Mahjong set, and the cards are much more compact and lighter than the mini mahjong tile sets. This is absolutely the way to go!
