Inspired by early imported mahjong sets from the 1920's, this classic set is crafted from snow white cattle bone and delicate slabs of bamboo.


  • AMERICAN MAHJONG SET, "BATS": 166 hand-carved tiles in traditional mahjong craftsmanship; This versatile set is playable with both American and Chinese rules
  • HANDCRAFTED TILES: The tiles are traditional standard size, making them slightly smaller than contemporary tiles; Tile markings are carved and painted by hand, and the bone and bamboo halves are dovetailed together; Tiles are engraved with both Chinese and Latin characters and Arabic numerals and each measures 1.18 x 0.83 x 0.50 inch (3.1 x 2.1 x 1.2 centimeters)

I purchased this Mah Jongg set for my wife and through no fault of Yellow Mountain, it didn't work out for her. To their great credit, Yellow Mountain issued a full refund, promptly and without any problems. It's a very nice Mah Jongg set, by the way, backed by excellent customer service.

Beautiful rosewood inlaid case

I was impressed with the service I received when the racks in the set I ordered were not well finished. The sales rep ordered new ones and they arrived from Shanghai in less than the 2 weeks stayed. I'm sure I will enjoy this set for many years, it is very nice. I will order from you again.
