fast shipping and amazing set!
Great experience with order / delivery, and product was exactly as depicted. Delivery was super fast (a matter of days, less than the estimated timeline when purchased!). I purchased this set for my mother as she's become an avid Mahjong player and was looking for a set of her own. After a lot of research, it seemed like this was on the higher end of the spectrum for quality but within range of other sets for price (maybe slightly higher with the wooden carrying case, but I did get a great sale price around Black Friday so can't complain).
The tiles are GORGEOUS- I cannot stress enough how many times our quartet stopped to comment about how lovely the design was. They felt high quality, substantial and just aesthetically pleasing. The pusher set and carrying case are very high quality too. Complete with scoring tokens and extra tiles, the only thing you could ask for on top of this set is the mahjong cards (which according to my research, are always sold separately).
SO- overall, a great high quality set, highly recommend for the product and customer experience.
This mahjong set is very special. The elegant Koi design brings a beautiful touch of the orient to the game. Although the wooden case does add to the weightiness of the set, it also speaks to the quality of its construction. The set is simply gorgeous! I couldn't have been more pleased with my purchase. I also HAVE to comment on the kind and helpful customer service. I had a question about the set upon arrival, sent an email, which was politely and professionally responded to the very next day. I had a great customer experience and recommend Yellow Mountain Imports without reservation.
Great quality! I love the detail of the koi fish. A beautiful set in a velvet lined sturdy wood case.
I received my set much more quickly than expected and it is absolutely beautiful! The tiles are good quality although with the Koi Fish pattern it is easy to miss a turned up tile. But that was my choice and I love it anyway. The case is exquisite and all the pieces fit back in perfectly. I'm very happy with my set and my experience!
