OK, I found the set to be very nice in appearance. However, it's imitation wood inlay. What do you want for 40 bucks? The pieces are wood but very light. The surface of the board (also imitation inlay) makes it hard to keep the pieces lined up when you move them. Felt makes a better surface.

This is a beautiful board, the inlay is quality work and lovely to look at. I looked at a lot of travel boards, and this one not only has dice cups but they have a felt bottom liner and there is nothing more satisfying to me than the shaking of dice in a solid wooden cup. The game is sized big enough to easily see the pieces on the board and to shake the dice on the board. While the pieces are not magnetic the closure is. Excellent value for the price.
