I brought my new set to our weekly game to show them my beautiful set. Everyone was extremely impressed with quality of the tiles, the lovely wood racks and the ease of the pushers. Then there is that exquisite case - what can I say!! I love my Mahjong set!!!
This is the 4th set I’ve purchased through Yellow Mountain. Since this said “sapphire, with blue case” I thought that there would at least be blue flecks on the tiles, but they are totally white. The set is great as usual but I was really hoping there would be ‘some’ color on the outside of the tiles.
Such a pretty set! Just starting out with mahjong so I didn't want to invest too much money but also didn't want to get something that wouldn't reflect the beauty of the game. I did a good amount of research on what was available online and this was the best deal (especially with wooden pushers included).
Have admired this American set for some time and was able to order during Labor Day promotion at 20% off! Complete set comes with storage bag, racks, dice and wind keeper. Tiles are smooth and even more beautiful in person. This set is versatile for both American and Chinese mahjong.
We bought this chess set to play at the beach. It appears to be solid though we have not used it very much yet. I was surprised that the pieces came in a baggie with the board/box. I thought they would have slots for the pieces but it is not a big deal. You may have to change the bag to fit the pieces so the box can close. I wish it came in some sort of tote to prevent it from getting scratched up.
